I love it, I traded a 2005 CTS-V on it and it’s a MUCH better car overall. The mag-ride is great. It’s my DD now since I’m doing a little top end work to my previous DD beater, an‘83 El Camino.

I think this is (sadly) probably true.
Came here to post this as well. It’s the end of an automotive era and thus the anticipated high value. I’m also hoping that’s the case as I own a manual SS.
Well thanks for asking the question, because I had no idea either. I had to read this comment thread just to realize. I guess I’m an idiot for not getting this?
I have my fingers crossed that GM continues production at a NAFTA plant, but have my doubts.. Unfortunately I think chances are even smaller that we ever get a RWD Ford sedan. It feels like the RWD sedan is a dying breed, at least from US manufacturers.
The SS is cheaper than the comparable SRT8 Challenger, can be found at any dealer by me, and are selling out all the cars brought over... it’s not exactly failing. It was never intended to be large production numbers, in fact, it’s selling better than GM expected.
Doug,
Man... you’re kind of a twat.
Okay, serious question. Where does one post these types of queries on Craigslist? Missed connections? Community groups?
actually yea, that does look much better. now what about the rear?
That sound... loooove it. The styling could use a little bit of flare, but I rather like it not “begging for attention”. It’s classy... for a Chevy.
Agreed. I have to see those every day and they ain’t bad.
I had to look up what a “Bronie” was... just, wow.
Rogue enthusiasts exist? There really are some fucked up people out there...
hmm compelling argument. I’m inclined to actually agree with this.
So, why not an SS Sedan? All the comforts of the Impala (if not more so) but with the added excitement and performance?
6th gear, slight throttle input or cruise control down the highway, the car vibrated enough to shake the rearview mirror. Enough to encourage me to trade it. For what it’s worth tho, I loved that car.
I’m in my mid.. err maybe late 20s and just traded my first gen CTS-V (on a new Chevy SS w/ 6spd). Doug’s not wrong, but I think the skip shift feature is still the worst... and my SS is plagued with that as well.
yep. Well that’s actually a “brushed stainlesss” vinyl, I did black on the back to see which I liked best. I plan to re-do the front with “brushed black metallic” vinyl.
