Wow I really bet you're right, they distracted me from the wine with the mood lighting and Boston record but it is apparently integral to the process… very nice catch/theory!

I haven't felt this way since "Who Shot Mr. Burns?"

South Park S20E01 – “Member Berries” – an alternative review.

I see three possible roads. 1) The Duffer Brothers and remainder of original writing staff are involved. This disappoints me because they could be doing something else creative that isn't bound to the success of the brand "Stranger Things" which, to me, is a story already told. 2) The creators and writing staff from

If you really think that's an apt analogy, I'm interested to know: are you a fan of Stranger Things?

Exactly, If anything I was hoping for an anthology series. But even that's a lot to ask from Stranger Things. AHS at least had a particular aesthetic that could be applied to many different core stories. Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't think that a good television series' best move is always to keep making more

Q: How does your perception of absurdity in popular culture inform your comedic creativity, and what aspects of society do you find to be most particularly absurd?

Q: Is your dog safe?

As a very enthusiastic fan of Stranger Things, I am pretty disappointed to see it doing a second season.

Thank you again for this. The in-depth coverage of Stakes (along with "regular" serial episodes) is incredible. I haven't seen anything show up for the most recent two episodes though, hopefully it's just taking a while to analyze & produce?

apparently!

Never give upon AHS #60seasonsAnd10Movies

I came to TV Club to read about "Daddy Daughter Card Wars" a fantastic episode. Apparently I'm still in denial about the cancellation of coverage for Adventure Time. Then I see that the most important thing AV Club has for me involves Netflix and Chuck Lorre. Off to read the write-up on latest Another Period, because

The Dr. Katz finale, in which patient Conan steals for his opening monologues, jokes Dr. Katz tells during sessions, is one of the best episodes of television ever. It is entitled "Lerapy" after, mid-manic-joke-rant, Katz explains "I like to inject a little levity into my therapy sessions. I call it Lerapy." - J Katz

Dammit. The Neon Demon looked like this awesome combination of Black Swan and Starry Eyes from the trailer. Most things are too good to be true.

What is going on!? Can we send AVC some bitcoin or something, would that even help? I don't understand why this is happening.

ah very very hopefully that's why then, thanks @percysowner:disqus

I hope you're right, but i'm losing faith in A.V. Club. The most recent season finales of Modern Family & The Big Bang Theory have ~200 & 150 comments respectively, yet apparently those… things… are continuing to be reviewed. I hope you're right, I really do! :)

I tried Orange is the New Black again starting from S01E01. I got 6-7 episodes in so far. There's this pattern. I'm presented with a character & their desire/conflict. I can tell I'm supposed to make some assumption about the way that people would/should behave. The show ends by pulling the assumption rug out from

I don't feel like it's been in canon, but in my head Lapis has always been much, much older than everyone else; I didn't notice I thought that until you brought up her extraordinary raw power!
