I had never heard of Death Note before watching so it was a really entertaining movie for me. The casting seemed odd even without knowing anything about the manga.

Jeff Blauser. SS for the early 90's Atlanta Braves. Not a “bad” player but definitely not great. He had great hands and played great defense at SS. And he looks like Woody Harrelson’s uncle who decided to play major league baseball.
