I for one am looking forward to Robo-Poochie and his imminent death while returning to his home planet.

It’s called the greater fool theory.
Good luck, Charles. I wish you the best.
I’m pretty sure that one is almost entirely irrelevant and petty infighting amongst Aes Sedai who are nominally on the same side. I’m certain there was a lot of sniffing and arms folded beneath breasts.
This series was always going to need some significant trimming to get a serviceable adaptation. Also, an update to the sexual politics would be refreshing as well; most of the female characters have the same personality, which varies from snippy to shrewish, and most of the men are gruff, long-suffering types. But I…
The book series itself could’ve jettisoned several volumes without affecting the storyline. Add in the trimming of several tertiary plotlines, dropping a couple dozens of the nigh-identical Aes Sedai characters, condensing the overall military and political action and you could comfortably get down to half as many…
What they say about race actually makes a fair bit of sense in the context of the book world mythology but they kind of have to rewrite the whole magic system if they want to avoid it being so gendered.
I don’t know if this show is going to work, but I’m glad to see that they appear to be really trying. It seems heavily stylized instead of the generic grungy future look that I had been expecting. A little bright and campy, but I think that might play out better than the grimdark that is typical of so contemporary…
They’ve cast Ein well.
I’m assuming that GIF at the top of the article is from one of the Trigger productions. As soon as I saw it I thought of DARLING in the FRANXX
I’ll one-up you with Weekend at Predator’s. Predator accidentally kills a target that was reserved for his fiancee’s father. To keep the old man from finding out (and rescinding his blessing for the upcoming nuptials), Predator has to tote the corpse around and pretend it’s alive so it can be “hunted”. Hilarity ensues.
Predator v. Frozen.
I liked this portrayal of Kara a lot. Upbeat and idealistic but not annoying about it. Besides Lex, the rest of the characters were pretty lame, though. I hope Cryor and Benoist both have a future in other CW shows if they want. Can you imagine Lex as the antagonist for a season of Legends? And they teased the Justice…
Even though the source material is pretty flawed, I feel like this Wheel of Time adaptation could be pretty good. There’s great world-building in the original novels, so there is a lot to work with. Of course they need to replace the hackneyed gender dynamics with something with more depth. I think an adaptation done…
I’m not listening to this but the original has shoe-horned DC universe references so I assume this adaptation is just being faithful. He may have been sorta required to do that by the parent company. I agree that I always found the occasional appearances of Justice League characters to be off-putting.
I agree except for calling the Hulk a C/D-lister. He’s been one of Marvel’s most recognizable characters for decades.
Due to inflation, if you sit on money you are literally losing it.
They just like that he gets to murder the bad guys but they ostensibly have to work within the law.
Since so many people are bad-mouthing the time-skip aspect of the show, I guess I’ll jump in to say that I didn’t think it was confusing at all. They tell you that the storylines are taking place at multiple times in the middle of the first episode.
I think a lot of people missed that so that’s why so many were confused.
