I swapped a 7m-gte and R154 transmission (gears only) out of a toyota Supra into my 1989 Toyota pickup. Maybe not weird but definitely hard. Had lots of help along the way. Most people who do this use the W series transmission which cant handle the power of the 7m motors. Mine was done by putting the R154 gears into

I will never again use EZ outs. It’s just not worth it. It’s drill out and re-tap the threads every single time.

The Dickies jump suit is a steal. I got one and it is tough as hell. I am 6’7’’ and the XXL fits good enough that i keep using it, though i am hoping to get a xxl tall this christmas...

If anyone is wondering, This is from 2003 when LM dropped the NOAA N-Prime satellite. Link to Wiki

These guys are well regarded here in Puget Sound. Probably the most memorable rescue involved flying UNDER a bridge while conducing a hoist...

I kept reading expecting the little blurb about how water is a natural defense against radiation and that the inherent nature of a nuke being detonated in water will offer significant protection from radiation...

I also have my doubts. First of all, you cannot charge a capacitor using 220V unless you rectify it. It sounds neat but in reality all you need is a handful of 12v batteries. 220V outlet is AC current switching from + to - 60 times per second. If you connect a capacitor to that it charges and discharges every time the

Personally, I hate that Jalopnik, indefinitelywild, and FA are related to Gawker. It bugs me because they are really great blogs that keep an impartial view of their respective topics.

1:13 into the video...cracks me up.

I mean, is it still an LFA? If there was ever a car that’s identity is almost entirely wrapped into its engine it has to be the LFA...A V8 NASCAR, turbo engine, while amazing, just isn’t the same thing...It’s akin to removing the 2jz-gte from a MKIV Supra.

I have done this swap on my 1989 Toyota pickup. It is a pain in the ass to do correctly. You have all kinds of clearance issues, some of which are alleviated by the solid front axle swap. The next biggest issue is either the radiator has to be moved forward a few inches or the transmission has to be moved backwards a

I dont know what they did with it but it is not buzzy like a single. It just produces smooth linear power. I went on a 360mile ride on twisty roads and the vibration was a non factor. The XR650L though. That thing is very buzzy. I owned one for a couple years. Terrible even for short distances.

So true....I have no plans to part with mine.

Dont confuse the XR650L with the xr650R. The XR650R is a completely different bike that was brought out in 2000 for the Baja 1000. I have one, plated. It is a beast! 300lbs and power through all 5 gears. It’s the on/off road dual sport you want.

That CPA thing looks like a great spot to have excessive wear! think about it, that thing vibrating back and forth like that? It’s gonna break. Bet lots of extras will be produced and will be a common failure point! “Excuse me sir, your CPA is shot, that will be $1,500 and 8 hours labor.”

Don’t forget the Boeing CST-100 “Starliner.” It is the co-winner with SpaceX’s Dragon for Commercial Crew.

Maybe i have meet a select few sport bike riders that are actually knowledgeable? This didn’t really resonate with me...

They drove me away. Too bad too. I sold my xbox and cannot come back if i wanted to.

Ya...Many Many Many years down the road...An electric vehicle should be running significantly longer than its gas powered equivalent assuming you have solar panels to charge. Gasoline will run out so fast. That will be the limiting factor for vehicles, not maintenance.

Electric is the true post apocalyptic vehicle of choice. Assuming you have a solar panel at home with regulator you will have reliable transportation long after fuel stations run dry.
