Giggity,
Giggity,
+1 on this. We live in east TN and don't use AC for most of the year. With fans going, we do just fine as long as the night-time temperatures get below about 72. For most of the spring and early summer, the inside temp gets to about 65-70 at night and then slowly climbs during the day to about 80-85. It is a little…
I'm no lawyer, but a mistrial isn't "getting off scot-free." The prosecutor can initiate a new trial if he or she thinks that there's a decent chance of a guilty verdict. The story doesn't mention anything about whether the prosecutor intends to do that.
Office 365 may be the bee's knees, but when your're leading with an email platform like Outlook, you need to STFU and sit the F-down. I mean, frickin' Yahoo webmail beats Outlook these days. You know why I don't care if Gmail skims my mail for keywords and then shows me ads? Because the product is SO FUCKING GOOD.
It's going to be really funny when the IRS comes knocking. Gifts are taxable!
True story: We were camping, and the camp fire spread a little wider than was preferable, so a friend of mine grabbed the blue container and poured some of the water that he believed it to contain on the fire.
She does realize that by working for Fox, she is part of the media, right?
I can only speak for Wordpress, which is the only CMS I work with regularly, but it's got plugins that let you back up the files and the SQL database. I'd be surprised if that wasn't true for other CMS's as well.
Why are loose materials being moved in container trucks instead of dump trucks? How do you efficiently get the material into the container? Is there some kind of container that opens on top?
I don't do suspension, so I can't say for sure, but skin is a lot tougher than you think. The first time I saw my butcher slaughter a pig, I was impressed. He started working the skin off from the middle of the belly, and when he needed to turn the (250 lb) pig, he just cut two hand-holds in the skin and yanked on…
Use LastPass or a similar password manager. Problem solved. All of the passwords for every site I have a login for are 8-character, unique, random combinations of upper-case and lower-case letters. My LastPass master password is a similar character string that I've memorized. Done.
Thank you! Everyone's telling me that the law against sawed-offs is because they can be easily concealed. But so can many perfectly legal handguns...
A shorter-barreled shotgun has reduced power compared to a longer-barreled one. The barrel of a firearm acts like a hydraulic piston, with the projectile being driven out the barrel by the expanding/burning gunpowder. The longer the projectile spends in the barrel, the more time there is for the expanding gasses to…
Ad-hoc could be as secure as it wanted, just add the encryption on at a higher layer. In other words, set up an unsecured ad-hoc connection, then the app sets up an SSL tunnel. Done.
If you're going to carry a camera that way, you're going to need a real belt. As someone who carries a firearm, I can tell you that the average "fashion" belt does not cut it when it comes to actually supporting a several-pound object. Shop around for gun belts if you're going to do this regularly.
Others have mentioned remote releases and timers. A mirror canted 45 degrees to the subject is another way of safely taking a photo of a firearm that appears to be aimed at the camera.
That "warm" sound that you're referring to is just high-frequency rolloff. Oh boy! I love my highs being muffled. Sometimes I put my speakers in the other room and close the door just to "warm up" the sound a little bit!
This is totally anecdotal, but think about listening to a really low bitrate MP3, like 32kbps or less. It sounds wobbly and distorted and artificial. I'm quite sure most people don't/wouldn't enjoy that sound.
