Only 2002-2004, if memory serves.

If you live in a mild enough climate, like I do in the American South, you can use a hardtop for extra insulation in the winter, and leave it off all summer. That’d be my ideal.

I don’t want to be friends with the kind of person that would use a Buff to clean themselves instead of a large leaf or rock.

This is my only trepidation. It sounds great on paper. But so did the Genesis coupe I test drove. And then it was like rowing through banana pudding in the shifter.

And yet the tone of this comment is precisely why so many product managers stop listening when the engineers start talking ;)

I realized the other day that my present compromise car (Mazda3 hatch) is by no means bad, and its general lack of needed maintenance has helped my financial status, but its not that engaging to drive. So I thought about an ideal garage. I miss having two cars. And then it dawned on me– the mazda3 does most things

Thought they nixed the performance pack because they simplified the lineup, sport models automatically have all the features of the PP. I could be wrong.

We can dream, I guess.

I drove a Genesis while I was searching for a car. On paper? Incredible. It was the 3.8, so over 300hp, RWD, and a manual transmission. White with a red leather interior. Just gaudy enough. But the shifter felt like rowing in pudding, the suspension was crashy, and the steering was numb. I passed.

This post makes me want to acquire and restore the car I learned to drive manual on, a 1985 Prelude. I was so sad to sell that car when I went to college across the country.

Whats not to get? Quick, practical, fun. I moved an entire dryer in my Mazdaspeed3 once. I like the lines of sedans a little more, but if you only own one car... it’s the bees knees.

FUCK YOU FOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRDDDD
