That 97% figure is as old as dirt and just wrong. Over half of the scientists​ included in that percentage have said they no longer agree with man made global warming / climate change or that they never did but when you look the names of these scientists and still used to this day when that average is used.

I am not sure what numbers you have seen but a majority of America still uses coal to turn on the lights and it looks to stay that way at least until 2040.
