That was a great episode. I think that was from the same season, that featured Matthew Modine as a suspect they spend a few days trying to break. He played such a smarmy bastard.

Very much annoyed. I love "Law & Order" original flavor. I don't give a fuck who complains about it being "comfort food". Fuck off.
One thing I've noticed though, is that "SVU" is very popular with the younger folks I know. They seem to have a disdain for the original. Even twelve years ago, when I was in high school,

As one of the resident Jai Courtney haters on this site, I always sing his praises in "Jack Reacher". I love the scene where that weasel guy fucks up, and tries not to look at Werner Herzog's face. It's actually a very well-done and genuinely terrifying scene.

I'm glad you pointed that out. Even though, Owen's character is mostly silent and is the de facto villain, his death is very poignant.
He finally was hurt and now that he was about to die, he realized that all he had done wasn't worth it.

I know Doug Liman and Tom Cruise collaborated again on the upcoming "American Made". I'd say give him the gig for the next "Jack Reacher". I think Liman direct action well. I would like to see him do a small indie project though.

Big Match John is now Big Movie John!!

You're absolutely correct. It's a little-known fact that the first "Bourne" had it's release delayed for about nine months. I know the studio tried to interfere a lot with it, so it's surprising to me that even with all that it was a big hit. I know the word-of-mouth was excellent for it.

I'll take animatronic tiger-striped raptors over fucking blue colored CGI ones any day.

And I love it when the villains are that way. Case in point: Nolan's Joker. He just wanted to watch the world burn. Just pure evil.

Apparently, "Jurassic World" had a lot of practicals, but they were done over with CGI. I remember seeing making-of photos and geeking over the animatronics.
Rumor has it, that they will not be using that method in the sequel. We will be getting animatronics. So, I've heard.

I pointed this out to a friend, that no matter how disappointing the recent Predator films have been, at least they're still casting actors and putting them in make-up and costumes. So, you can only imagine how upset I am when I see the "Alien: Covenant" trailer and that fucking CGI xenomorph.

Thank you. I remember getting into a debate with my mom about it. I was going to go see it when it was in theaters and as soon as my mom told me what it was, I said no. I just waiting for the DVD.

That is news to me. If it's breezy and fun, I can see it being successful.

The Usos have been amazing. I just wish the SmackDown! Tag Team Title scene was booked way better.

A long straight line indeed. Instead of being it's own thing, these DC films feel like remnants of the Christopher Nolan-"Dark Knight" era.
You mention applying the style where it's not appropriate, you are correct. These films have nothing to do with the Nolan trilogy, and yet they try to give it a visual connection

I mean't to thank you in my last post.

My DirecTV doesn't have a CW on demand, but I went on the CW website and I found it.

Oh, totally.

Last time I looked on CBS On Demand (I have DirecTV), I didn't see any CW network shows. I'll have to look again.

I have high hopes for the live-action "Aladdin". I think Guy Ritchie can deliver a more than adequate blockbuster.
