As a film lover, it's heartbreaking. I had many in-depth discussions and great reads thanks to the IMDB boards.

My prime IMDb years were 2004-2008. I too spent most of my internet time on the message boards. It's unfortunate that many bad apples had to ruin the experience. My posts became sporadic, though I did cruise the boards still.
