Oh yeah, sorry — I thought that was implied. Who doesn't like "Thunder Rolls"? Only hipster d-bags.

"Indie-rock," since it describes Band Of Horses and Archers Of Loaf and Fugazi, is too broad a term to be useful in 2008.

Hatin' is correct here. Billy was trying to say that obviously he and Steve had met before, which they had. The movie plays that down in order to build the tension, and implies—whether purposefully or not—that the two had never met before the snub. Or "snub." Ed and Seth argue convincingly that, putting aside the

Thanks, and some points…
Hey people, thanks for all the comments, they're appreciated.

We had already ordered (and paid for) some; that's why he called. So no free sauce. But we all recommend it, along with The Cheech sauce!

In fairness, he didn't really force the interview. I asked him about 10 minutes in if he was up for being "on the record," and he was. He actually doesn't seem to do very many, and I'm sure he's been asked pretty often since the movie came out.

It's going to be a comments-only special, thanks for asking. I'd actually go B+ on this one — it was the best/worst episode yet, with the addition of Ricco and our first real taste of Vikki.

The original rumored cast had both Tom Sizemore and ANDY DICK. Now that would've been a show.

the photo…
I'd like to be the (ahem) First to note that the photo was taken by Patton, and it's the actual meal bowl he consumed.

I'll tell her you said so.

That album is pretty terrific, probably would've made my top 20 if I had gone that far… There's one track on my individual songs list, though.

Yup, Eric was the photo in "New gas bill designed by some kind of freaking maniac." (I actually had no idea until just days before this interview, though it ran a couple of years ago.) It's here: http://www.theonion.com/con…

It's definitely Tim's dad — he explained finding the old video… And yes, there's a cliffhanger (though not in a JR Ewing way), it's more a cliffhanger that keeps within the weird context of the show.

Oh I can take 'em. I'll take 'em all right. I'm gonna take 'em. They're gonna be took. Don't you worry about it. Those comments are gonna be read, and taken, and then they're gonna get me good.

No, that wasn't logic. That was a funny coincidence, and perhaps a comment on what people want vs. what people are "supposed" to want. (You did see the interviews with more "respectable" writers, did you not?) Also, Charlie Sheen will be interviewed by your mom during TV week.

I believe, though I'm not entirely positive, that when we conceived "books week" (not "literary" week), Nikki Sixx was the only one of the authors we were speaking to that had a book on the NYT best-seller list. I'm just sayin'.

He played in Chicago in May, so maybe his people thought it was too soon. He's playing in NW Indiana tomorrow, which is about as close to the city as Waukegan. Very strange…

I'll stick with A-minus
But really, it doesn't matter much. It's a really great album, so A, A-minus, B+, A+… It gets all those. Most people (except the "I don't get it" people) who've stuck with Radiohead this long seem to really like it, which is a better barometer than a letter grade, I think. I do think — and

P-Fork
Oh, I didn't realize if you clicked it twice you got to the actual grade… Thanks!
