Yeah, I'm pretty sure it stuck around. I was only 7 in 96, and I definitely remember a Nick at Nite vividly. Drank pepsi and milk because of Laverne and Shirley, remember watching the wonder years, fresh prince, and stuff like that.

If South Park has enough influence to sway an election, we deserve Trump.

Unrelated Note:

Man the AV Club sure is hung up on the fact that not everybody views Hillary as favorably as they do. Hillary's favorability numbers indicate more people feel the way SP does about Turd Sandwich than the AV Club does. But that's beside the point, they literally came out and said in the episode that you'd be crazy to

No thanks, that sounds like exercise.

I liked him in Bored to Death, Portlandia, Tim and Eric (he honestly killed me in his bits on that one) and various other shows. Pretty much any time he's a character. To be fair to Oswalt, I don't like 90% of the stand-up I watch.

He's a fun cameo for me. Not much else.

I'm usually pretty receptive to satire of shows I love, but the true detective parodies aren't doing it for me. It'd be better if one of these parodies worked an actual joke into Rust's long-winded speeches rather than just saying things.

My only problem with the penalties, was what they decided to call in OT, after watching a 3rd period of constant holding, interference, and even tackling of players without the puck.
