As a young fan of Kerouac, I can say that his ravenous fans are horrible ( I walk by the house he was born in every day on the way to school and regularly see 20-something douches from California out front, taking pictures and quoteing lines while the family that lives there tries to get their kids on the school bus).

I hate to admit that I watch Room Raiders on MTV when nothing else is on. Partly because I just keep thinking to myself that you can't be much of catch if you have to go on MTV for a date. That and the way these kids jump to absurd conclusions when they find things in their rooms.
