Super Metrid didn’t break new ground, it came out in 1994. Plenty of games were atmospheric by that point. It wasn’t common, of course, but atmospheric games have been around since at least the NES.

DKC3 is most certainly not better than DKC2.

I suggest you get used to it, Super Metroid isn’t even the best Metroid.

It’s got my hopes down as that demo that released a couple weeks ago was awful. People were complaining that it’s hold down circle to win and it actually was. I won every fight I was in by holding down a button, it was pathetic.

All I know is I would outside some kinda castle and I’d run for the castle and I’d start gaining fury or something and lose health and it killed me a few times, then I entered a castle and died. So you might be right, I have no idea. Might need to restart if I and when I pick the game back up.
