The original Metroid and Castlevania are absolutely nothing alike outside of both being 2D. So I’m not sure what the point of bringing that up was. Nor is stating the Metroidvania style is a sub genre of the platforming genre, as that doesn’t somehow make it any less douchey to put his name into it.
