Ethanol is still not a viable fuel because it doesn’t combust all that well. It provides only about 2/3 the energy of the ole dinosaur squeezins. Well that and there are arguments that the process isn’t all that “green” after all and could possibly lead to an increase in food crop prices which would hurt developing

This sure is a conundrum for Jalops huh, it’s a manual, brown-ish wagon, buuuuut it's a Corolla. Somewhere out there a Jalop is slowly going insane trying to figure out if this is a NP or a CP.

The only way I would be a buyer is if I found all of the replacement parts were quality enough to make me a profit as I stripped the car to its bones and made a demo derby rig out of the rest of it. It's the only way.

No receipts + horrendous rims + Athens, GA = college student owned. Anyone else want to own a BMW previously driven by a college student?

My E34 525i (m50, auto) only made it to 350k. I still sorta regret not ponying up for a rebuilt transmission. Loved that car.

The drivers of these cars are universally assholes, even worse than the 3 series/G35 crowd.

Are they boring? Considering the most popular color is beige I'd say yes. But they're capable people movers and pretty bullet proof reliable. Would definitely buy one for the right price.

Does anyone remember when the GTR was an affordable “supercar”? Ke$ha remembers.

Like everyone else I get pissed off when traffic moving slower than me is camped out in the left lane, but what fucking drugs are you on where you think asshatery like purposefully blocking traffic makes escalating the situation to potentially deadly accidents is ok? The Z driver was clearly the victim here once the

Typical BMW owners; honks at you, aggressively follows you until you finally stop, all to tell you how much your motorbike/car sucks. 11/10 accuracy if it is a fake.

But are they teaching them to also tailgate people in the left lane going less than 35 over the limit, while also honking, flashing their lights, and revving the engine? The gauntlet has been thrown Google, your move.

I drive more than 200 miles at a time at least 2x weekly. Until there is an extensive network of chargers I can't even consider an electric car as an option.

“If price was the only thing that mattered, we should all just trade in whatever cars we have for a matching set of beige 1996 Toyota Camrys.”

Ugly, terrible ride (so it’s not even good for a daily driver), and at least in the case of my friend’s near exact same car (Down to the color and trim) horridly unreliable. I'd be a buyer at $2,300 or below. As it sits, CP.

Yes, the Pontiac GTO is a fun car, but that hood mounted tach on an AUTOMATIC is a sin that cannot be overlooked; tacky x1000.

$3100 for someone else’s project car w/engine swap that may or may not have decent workmanship? No thanks.

I’m not even sure I would pay 1500 for this thing, 4900 is waaaaaaaaay too much. Just go to eBay and type in SUVs with max price of 5k and look at how many of the results are in way better shape for way less money. Probably an unpopular opinion around these parts.

As interesting as the story is and “rarity” aside, that doesn’t mean this example should command 10-15k more than a standard e30 M3 for any normal buyer. If I was rich/had a BMW collection and wanted a good story, this is maybe worth a couple grand extra to that type of person. For me, this is a total CP.

Came to the comments for this, was not disappointed.

I learned the hard way there are things you can let the monkeys at the local lube shop perform, and things you should really visit your mechanic for. My experience was not as bad, they only forgot two bolts on my car. That were supposed to be holding the brake calipers off the rotors. Which, when jostled by relatively
