I was thinking the same thing reading this. Speechless is so good and extremely underrated

I remember someone (the CEO?) at Netflix saying they wanted to get to dropping at least one new original series every week. So yeah, this isn't slowing down. Though I'd love it to. My back log of Netflix originals to check out is so long

Yes. WHAS: 10 Years Later too, but don't know if that counts as "new"

I like a lot of broadcast comedies, but broadcast dramas, yeesh. Cable is miles ahead. The only quality broadcast dramas I can think of within the last season are American Crime (Cancelled), Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, HTGAWM, Izombie, and This Is Us. And CEG/ Izombie lean hard on comedy elements.

I'd put Taboo as a weak link too.

Season 7 has to be the last season, doesn't it? It feels like setting up Selina to run again is setting up a final season. I think it would be best for it to end after season 7. I don't see the story going further past the Selina vs Jonah vs Montez story line. This season wasn't as good as the five seasons before it,

I watched the first episode of this cause Showtime put it on VOD early, and thought "Okay some of this is interesting, but I can't help feeling like this reminds of Vinyl, I hope it doesn't do what Vinyl did"
