I don’t buy many but for movies that I know I will rewatch several times over the years (actually into decades now as have watched several of our 10-20 year old discs this year already) I will buy, especially if wait a bit and catch it when hits about $10. For something I like but may tire of will buy on Prime if

“Why do you still buy discs?” people ask me.

I wouldn’t single out the US, at least for some time. There have been countries that have taken measures slower, faster, more strict and less strict than the US. This is actually a good thing, since a year from now we can compare all the different strategies and learn from them in case, God forbid, this happens again.

2 things. If they are taking decent precautions then good for them. I’m glad their are keeping the plant open. So there's now need to quarantine shame them.

Honestly I get too much of we hate cars vibe in this place. Some people who know and love cars and don’t live in NYC would be nice. I agree on Steph, she was great. Honestly David Tracy, NPOCP and Tom’s car buying stuff is what keeps me around. Most of the rest seems pretty amateur-hour if I’m being honest. Also

Yes, the weirdness of this site is what makes it worth coming back to every day. As for the Kinja mess, I know your role is limited to Jalopnik but whatever is going on with comments not opening right away is frustrating and needs fixed.

So your telling me that if I had $40k to spend, its great to buy this Mustang that seats 2 humans and 2 mini humans and gets 15c/25h mpg but its TERRIBLE that I buy a F150 that is $40k, seats 5 to 6 adult humans, and gets 21c/28h mpg?

This. I really wish David or Andrew were writing all the content here. They seem to be the only balanced automotive viewpoints of the writing staff. Its like everyone else hates cars or car culture. I have always loved Jalopnik for its irreverence and counter culture attitude, but it seems like most of the writers

This is a Truck Yeah article right?

Well, I knew that snake was my own sweet dad
From a worn-out picture that my mother’d had
And I knew that scar on his cheek and his evil eye
He was big and bent and gray and old
And I looked at him and my blood ran cold
And I said: “My name is ‘Sue X Æ A-12!’ How do you do!?

I’m pretty sure they see this whole thing as performance art

...that’s about $38,000 in today’s money...

And where would the money come from?

Um... one problem with your logic. If no one is working, where does the unemployment money come from? I realize this may be the beginning of the socialist utopia you’ve always dreamed of, but eventually you’ll have to wake up and realize it’s not sustainable.

Because this is Jalopnik and trucks = bad.

And the cycle will complete, they will have reinvented the cartridge game.

Where I live they decided it would be a great idea to pave over travel lanes and put in bike lanes. They also have a trail system, some of which runs alongside the roads. “Real” cyclists don’t use the bike lanes, preferring to ride in the roadway, sometimes alongside the bikers using the bike paths. They also fail to

Remove $10k from your formula, add in the desire to switch cars every 2-3 years and you have a more applicable equation to the masses.

Maybe I’m missing something, if I put down 10k so I’m not underwater, that 10k is effectively lost. If I finance a zero percent loan and put down zero dollars, I can take that same 10k and earn interest with it. At any point during the life of the loan, if I have to pay back said loan, I can use the 10k that has been

I’d love to know what you think ‘entitled’ means. The OP used it perfectly.
