You can’t say that they have shit for brakes since the brakes are just fine for the normal application. A normal NASCAR race is about maintaining speed and staying in traffic and does not include a lot of change in speeds. Running larger brakes than needed just adds more weight to the car.
The V12 in a car like that isn’t meant for absolute peak power. It is for a flat torque curve for even, consistent power delivery while the V12 naturally operates with minimal NVH.

Camaro has the lowest entry price for a V8 with the LT1 (not to be confused with 1LT) model which starts at $34,995. Mustang GT starts at $35,880.
