I doubt it would have a huge effect on the highway fuel economy. The advantages of more gears shows up in city fuel economy and when racing and going up and down the rev range.

Let’s compare a 1995 Camaro Z28 to a 2016 V6 Camaro.

I had always heard that Sony actually used the VGS assets in the official PS1 emulator used on the PS2, PSP, and PS3.
Those pollutants have already been released. While newer cars do have fewer tailpipe emissions than older cars, there will be emissions is mining the raw materials, manufacturing the parts, and assembling the cars. The question becomes, “If you look at the amount of pollution released after today, is it better to keep…
You are comparing apples to cucumbers. The hemi engine is not built for high specific output. It is built to provide high torque in a smaller and relatively unstressed package. The hemi is an OHV design. That design allows for smaller heads which drastically reduces the weight of the top of the engine while allowing…
This isn’t my story but one from my uncle. Around 10-15 years ago he took my aunt to Vegas for their anniversary, and they rented a brand new, right off the delivery truck, Corvette for their time in Vegas. He got the idea to find one of those long, strait desert roads like you see in all of the movies and proceed to…
Because even though we are still a couple of years away from getting a different vehicle my wife has made herself very clear that we will not be getting a Flex. :(
Call me weird, but I like it.
While I have never worked in retail I can completely understand why GameStop would want to sell Pre-Owned as much as possible. One of my good friends growing up is a manager in a local “retro” game store that sells everything from gaming history to new systems and games. He told me that their wholesale cost for a new…
Why would you need higher octane fuels with ethanol? The octane rating is a measure of how the fuel burns regardless of the composition of the fuel. Actually, pure ethanol has an octane rating of ~99 when using the (R+M)/2 methodology, and E85 has an octane rating of around 100. I know several people that have tuned…
You are fine to run 93 in an engine designed for 91. Some states only allow up to 91 octane for whatever reason. My car states that 91 is the minimum octane you can run in it, but it will get better performance with 93.
Ethanol has been in gasoline for a very long time. The owners manual on my mom’s 1995 MY car even mentions that it can run up to 10% ethanol gasoline.
I just came in for the very correct comment about the 4.2 L V6. My first car was a ‘98 single cab step side with that motor. I loved the truck, but that motor was a very thirsty dog. Averaged 12-13 mpg in mixed driving. 55-60 mph might get 17 mpg,and interstate driving got 15.
While the Z/28 still has the back seats, done of the padding was removed from them for weight savings. Screw the back seat passengers #becauseracecar
My thought would be, think turbo.
The interior space is terrible for such a large car.
They seem to be limited to just 500 prints.
That was done with the stock Goodyears.
I haven’t watch the video yet, but one source said full auto.
They must have changed that for the sixth gen. You could add the RS package to the SS package in the 1st gen and 5th gen days.
