Agreed on the timing of Zero Year after Death of the Family. Relegating the effects of that storyline and Damian's death to the companion books somewhat minimized what I thought was a pretty strong (though controversial) ending to that arc. However, DC's event structure was just a complete mess at that time in

For me, it's a seminal run. I'd love to have an omnibus collecting it all.

I have a group of friends, most of whom don't read comics, who picked Saga Volume 1 for their book club in December, with the idea that a comic would take much less time to read than a full book with everyone traveling.

Lots and lots of stuff this week. Highlights were:

Disagreeing without being disagreeable is pretty rare on the internet. Or… anywhere. (Thanks, folks!)

"No one before 2010." I re-watch West Wing episodes all the time. Does that count?

Between this and Stannis, Brienne's having a big week.

To be fair, he probably didn't know about all that.

Speaking of, props to Capullo for rendering a regular human being who was still immediately recognizable as The Joker.

More in the spirit of where I think you wanted this thread to go: Tim Seeley and Mike Norton have always been swell guys on social media with me, and the same with Tom King, who's such an earnest guy excited about comics. Likewise Nicola Scott, who is always eager to chat about her work.

Yeah… saw your story on diversity blow up this week. I felt things got a little taken out of context and warped by a few creators in particular, as — while I didn't necessarily agree with your conclusion — I didn't think you were trying to indict the industry as a whole or making an end-all-be-all statement on the

Turning Thanos from a universe-threatening cosmic threat into a guy you can remind of his right to remain silent is a… decision.

That's LIKE comics! Similar sensibilities!

Not a lot for me between last week and this week, and nothing was particularly strong.

Wheyever might that b- oh.

I did that for the first two compendiums, then caught up on a digital sale and decided to follow it monthly up through the Reboot arc. When the Reboot arc went exactly as I expected it to go (I won't spoil in case you're just skimming the article), I got antsy. And now I'm just pulling it from my list for a while. The
