The best part of that for me were the matter-of-fact caption boxes afterwards.
Ah, well his Convergence two-parter was basically a wrap up to his long exploration of the Renee Montoya character. It's independent of anything else, despite being a tie-in to The Worst DC Event Ever.
Authenticity is key. This is across a much broader range than just race too (although it's incredibly key there). I mean, something as basic as an old guy writing/drawing teens (so… comics) can be off-putting when the teens are barely recognizable. And that authenticity is very difficult to capture for someone who has…
Took a couple weeks off from the comic shop over the holidays, so I came back to a hefty stack this week. Standouts were:
Just chiming in to agree on B&R Eternal. So far it's much better than Batman Eternal was at its halfway point. It's benefited from a much clearer focus. Takara's art from last week's Cass issue was also much better than his Detective work from a few months back as well, I thought.
Tom King needs to stop it. It's getting unfair.
Greg Rucka Question run, yay! Unfortunately his "run" is spread over a bunch of differently named volumes, one-shots, and backmatter - including a couple Annuals that aren't available digitally or in any collection, making it almost impossible to run everything down.
Yeah I like it considerably more than Asa as well. Chiang's art is gorgeous, and I just really enjoy the feel of the book. Is it as engrossing as Saga or as rich as Private Eye? No. But it's a fun throwback at the moment.
Yeah, the metahumor does not get annoying. It's pretty great.
I think it was definitely the idea that Spencer thought he could sway them against a guy who many already genuinely liked. This was a strong cast of independent thinkers, and I don't think any of them appreciated being used as props.
So… did they not so much learn from the Collar season?
It just… kept… going…
I'm in for greatest ever. It had everything in my opinion.
100%. What a player.
Probst has feelings. Such strong feelings.
"In a Survivor first, all 10 votes went to Doctor Joe and the med team!"
Amazing ending to one of the best seasons. This cast did NOT disappoint.
"It's my coronation day." Sure is, Fargo.
Still loving Silk. Despite being a derivative character, Lee and Thompson really combine to make her feel pretty fresh and fun.
