Yeeeeah, my headcanon ends with Johns' stuff where that's concerned. I was similarly not amused.

Sooo, the whole thing wasn't retconned. But basically since all the major heroes went through their DRAMATIC CHANGES, suddenly Arthur's being hunted by Mera. But GASP Mera is secretly her sister Siren, who can change shape I guess, and Mera's been imprisoned. Siren, masquerading as Mera, has somehow convinced Atlantis…
Soooo… anyone else reading Aquaman? Boy, that sure was something, huh?
I read pretty much all the same stuff, so I'll just reply here! These annuals had great character work, I thought, while not being "essential" stories by any means. I really enjoy the grasp the current group of Bat-writers has on these DC characters.
That would be the smart thing, but that edit lingered at the burial site a bit too long for my liking. And Jeff has made mention of the tribe swap creating a "major setback" for some people. Just made me wonder…
Are we pretty sure Kelley's buried idol is going to be left behind? Because I'm pretty sure.
RODGERS!!! *pounds on window*
Janin's art is truly next level. And Cox's colors do it justice too.
It's a fantastic series. I wish I had time to say more about it (certain events today mean… not so much), but #12 shows the amount of respect these creators have for the characters involved, making Grayson's current series an evolution, and not wholesale reinvention.

This is me, drinking to you after we kicked that field goal from the one-yard-line.
WHOA. Jim Lee just uncanceled Omega Men.
Bless you, wayward Seahawks fan. I'll drink to you when we kick that field goal from the 1-yard line.
I am so excited for another Green Bay heartbreaking last minute loss to Seattle on Sunday night. That reminds me I need to stock up on scotch so I can forget it happened by Monday morning.
Not great. That early stutterstep of a start pre-Convergence harmed the book in a bad way, I think.
On the topic of women directing male superhero films, I was pretty sad when Ava DuVernay turned down Black Panther. Pretty big bummer.
Shatner Kirk or Pine Kirk?
I liked that shop a lot. Sadly, between their move to NW and a move of my own, that store's not really convenient to me these days. But they always seemed like a great group of people. Really welcoming.
Oh, no, I meant that trade Francavilla out for another artist, and this comic loses the majority of its tone and quality. He adds something special.
Afterlife with Archie's quality is 9/10th Francavilla, I think.
