Most of my Saab parts I get from eEuroparts.com. They’ve really saved my ass many times. Body panels is a different story. For my 900S, most of that stuff has to come from somewhere in Europe.
They’re simple, fun, comfortable and sound great! I think the styling has aged well and find the classic 900s quite beautiful, with near perfect proportions, clean lines and an overall design where form celebrates function. The performance can be enhanced with ECU, turbo and exhaust upgrades and the exterior styling…
Pretty sure that’s a Volvo, dude...
Oh, they may be different, but they are both Big Beautiful Buicks.
I’ve got an ‘06 Aero that I’ve been trying to sell for two years. And by “trying to sell”, I mean failing to put it up for sale, as I can’t bear to get rid of it quite yet.
The railroad ties will burn; The Saab will survive.
I’m still kicking myself for selling my ‘88 SPG, shit plastics, robo-seatbelts, and all.
Every time I think about Saab, I get a little choked up and misty-eyed. Beautiful gentle sons and daughters of Trollhättan, you were too good for this world.
Kristin is right.
How about an Infiniti Q60? A brand new RedSport with 400HP starts at $52k. CPO 2017 models with low miles and the 300 HP engine are under $35k. I’m sure you could find a deal for the right one in her price range. My boss has a RedSport and loves it.

Man, people are just phoning it in today.
Just remember, “German Engineering” means both “Wow, this engine is fantastic” and “Oh, whats that horrible metal-on-metal noise coming from the right front axle? It’s just the hill descent control randomly engaging the parking brake at that corner. It will go away soon.”
I remember test-driving the (then) brand new Veloster back in 2012 and noticing that it was just too damn slow. Now I kinda want one. Good job, Hyundai.
Ah, I forgot to highlight that in the post. No, no power increase.
Any increase in power?
Why on earth should you need an aftermarket tune and headers to make a performance car not bad?
The ritual is very simple.
Change all of the fluids and timing belt (unless they aren’t due for their first change yet, but maybe still), then check out the brakes and tires. So many people never change fluids so they’re frequently ignored. Manufacturer’s “lifetime” fluids have only exacerbated this. And while we’re on the topic, they can burn…
