It could simply be that some of the PDF's are still in their native format and others were converted to text using Google Docs, in which case they could still retain the file name.

I feel bad for the poor intern that gets stuck with that job.

They can further kill off the community that continues to point out how wrong their articles are which for them is a giant fuckin win.

Really? This is what has disappointed you? Not the horrible tumbleresque quality of posts or the downright factually incorrect articles?

But he isn't banned as others have pointed out. So I'll risk the ban hammer by nominating him again (solidarity with those who sacrificed themselves for this noble cause)!

Giving an option now isn't having a conversation and it sure as hell isn't coming clean about past use of your address book. I highly doubt that when they FINALLY give you the "option" that it will read "Hey, we've always been stealing your contact list, we're just finally getting around to letting you know about it"

"We actually think this is an important conversation and take this very seriously."

Yes that as well.

Okay is it just me or haven't we had larger photos for a while now? As far as I know, facebook isn't increasing the photo size that's displayed, just trying to make the comment area more visible with larger photos.

I know my panties dropped to the ground as soon as I heard his voice.

Just as note to potentially save yourself time trying to create fake images, the auto import will also work for avi files. If you happen to have several larger ones laying around like I do, toss them on an SD card and use the auto sync to have it upload them.

What format are the photos in that Dropbox is refusing to upload? From my phone it worked perfect (all .jpg images copied over), however, from my DSLR card, it flat out refused to upload any of the raw images and simply crashed the Dropbox uploader.

Not completely true, there are no directories on my card, just a video in the root folder and it still got uploaded and counted.

And what Google services would you consider evil? Oh its because they sell ad's. Yeah, that's evil alright.

To anyone that wants a down to earth opinion on the change Google just implemented, [techcrunch.com]

Only if you've given them that information in the past and in which case, how stupid were these people who put up different information ALL on Google products and thought there was never any way that Google could READ INFORMATION YOU ALREADY GAVE THEM.

Because we don't want Google tracking us! Instead we're all gonna pile onto Microsoft products all tied together with a unified login, no way they'll ever share information with other departments or track our usage on their site, it's completely different from Google.

That's all their doing, information Youtube may collect with you can now be shared with Gmail. I'm not even sure why the hell this wasn't going on before.

Yeah I'm not sure how outraged I'm supposed to be over google sharing information about me with... itself.

Most of the Gizmodo coverage regarding the "Search Plus Your World" crap has been wrong/exaggerated.
