So if it’s the parents’ rights and the kids’ rights to decide what’s best for them with marriage, why shouldn’t it be the same for drinking, smoking, working in a coal mine, being left alone for days/weeks at a time, etc.? And why 12 as the cutoff? Why not 11, 10, 9?

While I agree with not using “you guys” at work, I’m not sure it’s accurate to say “guys” only refers to men when every YouTube video starts with “Hi, guys!” or “Hey, you guys!” Are these channels directed only to men? If it hasn’t already, “guys” is rapidly becoming un-gendered.
