What year is your GT350 (presumably not "R" not talking trash--that's the one I'd have anyway)? Early GT350's when they started $50k had the track pack with extra cooling as an optional add on. Newer models (2017 on?) Started at $57k because the extra cooling systems were standard.
The issue for me is image: it’s hard to not look like a man-child in a muscle car; it also communicates that you’re MAGA type. I know it’s completely unfair to hold those stereotypes, but it’s pretty hard for me to get around. This is probably why I was such a fan of the Chevy SS--absolutely cub-stomped the Chargers…
It’s obviously not a “smart” alternative to the Lexus (I also prefer the less powerful NA V8), but is a creative, cool, sexy, and almost smart alternative to the S class coupe....
Peak Kinja bullshit right here.
The very (VERY) basic concept you are failing to grasp is that of the “Confounding Variable”; in this case the fact that the rise of infotainment and the smartphone roughly mirrors the takeover of crossovers and SUVs. You shouldn’t be using snark when your scientific reasoning is at this level.
Yeah, but rally in a cool location, like a snowy forest or the like.
It’s closer to the 6 cylinder E class wagon in price (and far better) than it is to the AMG e class wagon.
This is the correct take. Honestly fuck these commenters for not starring this comment.
Except not a lesser car. The XE s is a superior car to the 340i or c43, the XF s to the 540i and e class, and the XJ series is far lighter and more athletic than any 7 series or s class. They have smarter suspension all round and the steering feel that is absent in the new BMWs and Mercs is present in the Jags. So…
Look, I love wagons, but listen: the 3 box design is naturally balanced and aesthetically pleasing and has stood the test of time; coupes are only marginally better looking—not even always better looking. Also it simply feels right and good to have a separated compartment for luggage and junk—especially the latter.…
Live sports are the last thing of significance that cable networks have control over; it’s literally the only reason for the majority of Americans to not cut the cable. This why they fight tooth and nail for exclusivity contracts that rob consumers of any halfway decent options. Consumers will continue to lose until…
The first model year or 2 started around $50k with extra engine/ transmission cooling as an added option. Now the starting MSRP is about $58k because those track features are now standard.
Ok, sure, but have you driven any of the ccompetiors that Invanz mentioned and come away with a different impression? “Pony cars” have been big and heavy for a couple decades now... At least they now have competent handling.
That is also my reaction to being offered Heineken.
Because the product you make in Detroit is—for the most part— inferior and undesirable; this is why GM doesn’t sell well in Germany: Germans don’t like cheap shit... it’s a major reason why Opel hasn’t done well in a while.
Alex Kersten from Car Throttle. I think he’d annoy Chris Harris in a way that would be fun to watch. That would be my dream tro” Rory, Chris, Alex. Hard to argue with Rowan Atkinson. I also love Sabine...
A crossover—at least the transverse engine variety— is literally just a minivan with terrible utilization of space.
Same HP as the MKI GTI and Hundreds of pounds heavier. Noticably more torque, but surely not enough to offset the weight gains.
How much does it weigh? The only way the $100k price tag could possibly be worth it is if the carbon fiber bodywork is significant enough to save hundreds of pounds
