I had ALL of those toys. Pretty sure my mom gave them away (I’m 33 so I probably shouldn’t be too upset about it at this point...).

Your mother’s a hero (all nurses are heroes but, full disclosure, my wife and mother are nurses so I’m biased). I could never do that. I work with peds oncologists every day and I know I’m not strong enough for that.

Exactly. I’d gladly pay more taxes for universal care. I WANT to pay more taxes if it means universal care.

Thank you for this.

Definitely against our oath. Whether they make it “legal” or not, a doctor who lies to their patient can and should go before an ethics board and have their license to practice revoked.

Anyone who can’t have an honest conversation with their patient because of what the patient “might” do is both too unethical and too fragile to be a doctor (good ol’ conservative snowflakes!). As a physician myself, fuck anyone who would lie to their patient.

This.

Pretty sure I’ve damaged the labrum in my hip sitting cross legged in bed playing games on my laptop for hours on end (currently replaying ME3 prior to andromeda!). Either that, or I’m just getting old...

I grew up in Louisville in the 80s and was one of the students bussed to a farther school (for me, I was bussed from a predominantly affluent white neighborhood to a school much more ethnically and socioeconomically diverse). It was a wonderful experience. The active desegregation of schools is good for ALL students.

One of these was my first car. Rear wheel drive. Battery under the middle bench. Engine under the drivers seat. Was a literal death trap. I loved it, and miss it. But also was damn glad to be rid of it.

I pay my dues every year so they don’t put a lien on my house, and then ignore them.

Oh, gee, who would’ve thought? Probably has no idea the difference between a PPO or HMO, or between Medicare and Medicaid, or what a CPT or ICD code is, but it’s the healthcare system’s fault for being complicated, not his fault for being an ignorant ass who refuses to learn!

And speaking for physicians, we hate the shows about medical personnel... (except Scrubs)

I bought one and really like it. Only use it occasionally right now, but looking forward to more good games for it soon (Star Trek, Farpoint, hopefully more Battlefront VR content when the new one comes out...). I wish Sony would step up their first party support.

As long as I can play music/audiobooks from my phone I don’t care about the rest of the crap. We have all of the connectivity bells and whistles on our GLE and have used them exactly zero times since setting them up.

Entire soundtrack only $6 on iTunes right now, for those interested.

I swear to god Drew, all this time I’ve thought that YOU were a ginger.

Replaying the mass effect games (just about done with 2) before Andromeda comes out. Was hoping to finish 3 before zero dawn came out but don’t think I will.

In my naivete I hadn’t even considered that the ultrasounds might be fake. That makes me even more depressed.

Who “interprets” the ultrasounds they perform? Do they claim the exams are diagnostic (in which case do they have a licensed imaging specialist such as an obstetrician or radiologist perform or read the ultrasounds)? Are they practicing medicine without a license? What do they do if they find a birth defect or other
