First sentence. I literally dismissed the birth certificate issue. It’s more about the way they drew a line at allowing doctors to examine the baby, which crosses the line into harmful posturing.

It’s also foolish to attempt to cotton wool them from genders and sexuality identification when they get to school and will immediately be ostracised as they won’t be “he” or “she” but “it/they” which is really going to single them out.

This. Sex and gender are two different things. It’s also relevant for things like statistics. Honestly, this is just silly.

I don’t suppose it matters on the birth certificate, but it does seem a little foolish to just pretend sex has no relationship to health. You don’t need to force anything on a child, but that is medically necessary information regardless of what gender, if any, the child identifies with.
