Did you actually read this article?

“The simple lesson of 2016 is that whatever the Democratic Party leadership might feel about our votes, if we take our ball and sit home on Election day, they don’t win. And if they don’t win, there’s no darn reason for their existence.”

I just . . . I feel like the Left spends more time protesting each other and pulls zero of these stunts against the Right.

This statement only underlines that most of the horrible things happening politically happen because people on the left just don’t care enough to vote.

Struck me as odd too. The city itself as a political unit only has a population of under 500,000 people.

And how many of the people on the receiving end of those hits that used to be legal have committed suicide? Or can’t remember their own names five days out of the week?

The two players’ helmets clearly make contact before any other part of their body, and Burfict obviously can’t see JuJu in time to avoid the hit. It’s a blindside helmet to helmet hit. Those are illegal now.

I’m fairly certain NCAA regulations require more than a simple release from UCLA. Even with a release, most players have to sit a year. It’s a question of whether exceptional circumstances exist to justify the transfer. I don’t think “I didn’t want to serve more than a one month suspension after getting away with

That’s assuming he gets to his new school by the start of the next semester, then, though, right? I thought it was an “academic year in residence” at the new school. I’m not sure if he can go through the application process, get approval, enroll, etc. in that time.

If he transfers, he has to sit next year out, right?

If his conviction is overturned and a new trial is ordered at which he is found guilty, the Court is completely free to give him a much harsher sentence.

You must be young.

You do it in the hope that someone coughs up a second round pick at the trade deadline or that he can be part of a package in another trade.

Something tells me when push comes to shove, if the 76ers are lucky enough to be in that situation, NBA players will still accept millions of dollars a year to be the 7th and 8th guys on the depth chart if it means winning on a championship on the back of a Simmons/Embiid pair.

Basketball Reference ranks their strength of schedule as being fifth easiest in the league so far.

Playing basically the easiest schedule to start the season will do that for you.

What do you mean they didn’t ask follow-up questions? The follow-up questions they asked are documented in this very article.

So long as you are OK with that meaning powerful people will often get away with doing horrible things because they can keep victims from speaking out, it is more than your right to take that approach.

“No, as I’ve said before, if there is a rumor they should have jumped in with both feet. They should have gone to female comics and male comics. They should have talked with workers at comedy clubs and festivals.”

So your attitude is that when there is an “open secret” about a sexually abusive person but no one is willing to go on the record about it, people should refuse to ask follow-up questions and everyone should just be silent and ignore it?
