In the book Jesus WAS a hippie. He was said to be hitchhiking cross country.

Why is hypersexuality a bad thing? Tell me in what world is that a negative? Especially since the reason she's having sex has nothing to do with her being exploited but is literally a way to empower her? Do you not get that it's a commentary on the fact women have power over their own sexuality? DO you also not get

You *DO* get that she's a character from an African myth, right? That neither Gaiman nor Fuller invented her? That it was black people that hypersexualized the character first?

I think you're missing the point of the character all together. Her sexuality is what she uses to get worshipers. It's actually empowering her.

I spoiler tagged it…

I didn't notice you put Villain in quote.

You do get she's based on an actual religious character that's hypersexualized right? Who was from Ethiopia? So what race was she supposed to be Pacific Islander?

Well considering if you read the book you know the real villains are Wednesday and Loki I think you can't really argue that Media is the most compelling villain as Wednesday is such a great character.

The show is only signed for Two Seasons.

It works for Odin in his true form IMO even though not Wednesday. Since We know from the book Wednesday is only one aspect of Odin and not his only form I think it works perfectly.

I hope they do it like they did in the book where they have the flashback and Shadow just kind of realizes it. Also hoping they reveal when Gaiman has said about Shadow after the fact that Shadow is Baldur instead of hinting at it like Gaiman does in the book.

Interesting how Glover has THIRD billing and has been in two scenes and the guy who plays Ibis is in almost every episode and he's not listed as a regular.

Anansi IS a spider. He is in every myth about him. Him not being a spider would be like Simba not being a Lion.

In the book Gaiman hints the gods can have other forms IE other Odins, other Anansis etc. So yes, there are Odins for other denominations and other countries as well.

I guess it matters if you see promiscuity as a negative thing. I don't. She's also not the only black female that's been on the show as Tracy Thoms played a police officer in a guest appearance hardly a stereotypical role. So I just don't see the character as being negative. Of course I'm mostly white and a male so I

Diminishing of Bilquis? She has two scenes in the book. And one of those scenes lasts less than a paragraph. She's EXPANDED greatly in this show.

We're obviously not going anywhere you keep thinking I'm in denial and I'll keep thinking you are. Time will tell if Jason ever makes a big budget film again, considering no one from the show has thus far and how badly this one was received, I wouldn't count on it though

I *DO* understand the importance of a script. I have had great coverage of a script I have written (it got a "recommend" by a professional reader, and only got passed because the company didn't do stuff in that genre) and as I said before I am currently directing a documentary to be narrated by a seven time Emmy

My argument was you can't use the fact he won the competition to argue that he has talent when it's universally accepted that NO ONE from the contest has talent. Also if you look at the IMDB score, post from all message boards, every SINGLE review of the film (0% on Rotten tomatoes one of the lowest scores on

I'd also like to point out there has yet to be a truly successful director from this show. Hardly a ringing endorsement of the fact Jason won the competition meaning that he has talent and will be successful. Hell I think only the season three winner has ever directed again and only Pete Jones has ever written
