Been eagerly awaiting this one for a while, particularly to see if the lack of sympathetic characters will make or break my interest. And even if the miniseries doesn’t succeed by the final episode, it can’t be any worse than AHS, though that’s a substantially low bar.

Since those series premiere on Friday, they’ll be promoted in the weekend WOTV section.

As excited as I am for this miniseries, I also prefer the eerie vibes and meditative melancholy of Hill House and Bly Manor. Flanagan did warn beforehand that Usher will be “the closest [I] will get to Giallo”.

I’ve only seen Hill House and Bly Manor, but I do agree the former is definitely on the sickly sentimental side. The finale was a very tacked-on contrast to the rest of the series. The latter was more balanced in its melancholy and satisfactory finality despite its own missteps.

I’ve been meaning to watch this version of ATTWN and your championing of the series’ setting has me convinced to do so. Maybe I’ll watch it at Christmastime too.

And somehow Paul Hollywood is a regular judge on the American version of Bake Off. Good lord.

With this reboot, I’d be surprised if they didn’t go with the comics’ ending.

As fun as the movie was, Scott Pilgrim really did need a remake to give the second half of the story more room to breathe, and lend more nuance to the titular character and Ramona’s lives and flaws.

Steele herself is biracial (Black dad, Irish-Italian mom) so her comments about Obama’s identity come across as self-hating projection.

Kristen Bell is either terrified of sloths now or she’s rooting for the killer.

There were some good moments in Loki’s first season but the finale left me cold. Here’s hoping the next outing is more consistent in its plot while still maintaining its timey-wimey weirdness.

And best to leave Mods Love Me on pending in the future - their profile photo is transphobic and homophobic. Any comments to

Oscar Vibenius!

I can’t speak to the taste of Smucker’s Natural on its own or on a peanut butter sandwich. But I have used it in recipes calling for PB without any sugar or sweeteners, like a peanut sauce for tofu stir fry. With spices, lime juice, and other ingredients it tastes perfectly fine.

Says here it’s on Paramount+ / Showtime.

As a manga reader I can assure you SxF’s next season will do just that.

I’ll be seeing it with my adult friends in a few weeks.

I checked and the regions where it is called that are India and Southeast Asia, barring the Philippines. In Canada, the UK, and Singapore it’s just Hotstar. Everywhere else where it is currently released seems to be Disney+.

Hopefully they provided the option of refunds for audience members who weren’t interested in seeing the new film.
