Kiyohiko Azuma, the mangaka, didn’t want Yotsuba&! to have an anime adaptation. He claimed in 2008 that the show had elements that would be hard to adapt.

Well, this doesn’t bode well for that Lore Olympus animated series that Netflix announced last year. Could be in for another Fables-Once Upon A Time situation.

Heartstopper is quite lovely. And in a time when LGBTQ+ rights are and continuing to be threatened globally, letting queer teens be and learn to be themselves in a wholesome and mostly drama-free series is comforting.

I’ll recommend Monster Prom, another dating sim, as well. Very queer and oh so hilarious, especially when doing multiplayer.

Disney+ offered a way to alleviate the “homework” issue with its recap shorts called “Legends”. They’ve been doing this for each of its series and movies starting with WandaVision.

Spy X Family is the first work where I read the manga before the anime. And I’m enjoying it greatly in both mediums.
