I have peak torque in my ecoboost Mustang at like...2200 RPM. Turbos are actually way better at low end power than an NA motor, which often make peak power in the middle or at the top of the RPM range.
they use relatively small turbos which spool up insanely fast. theoretically the 3.5 (in its 365hp/355 lb-ft trim) hits peak torque at 1500 rpm. I can’t honestly say I’ve ever noticed perceptible lag from any ecoboost vehicle I’ve driven.
