It’s obvious that you get all your knowledge of firearm acoustics from movies so let me put it into perspective for you, those 6 gunshots in close range will produce 145-165 dB of sound over 12 ms. That is going to cause permanent hearing damage no matter how strong your genes are.

Ummmm... You realize what you described is proper driving technique. ‘Keep right except to pass.’ It’s kind of the [unenforced] law in most places.

Agreed. If zipper merging were a thing we all agreed on, it’d be fine. Instead it is an excuse for dicks to fly up to the front and try to jam in at the last second, leading to a quick brake from the person being merged on, which ripples backwards through the line. It’s why people tailgate to prevent these people from

Have you ever noticed how after the zipper happens, traffic seems to flow much better than last second merging right before the close?

This is just like round-a-bouts, or lane splitting. It sounds like a great efficient idea as long as everyone one the road is aware of the rules and knows what the hell they are doing. Guess what? THEY DON’T, and changes are a 1/3 of the drives on the road never will. Traffic maneuvers like this count on common

My problem with this isn’t the people blocking, it’s the people abusing it. If you follow the “everyone lets one car over” concept, or the “hey, an open space, let me slide in” it is fine. The issue is no one does. They all fly into the merge at 2-3x the speed of the “slow lane” and try to jam in.

In this situation yes.

Personally, however, I move over to the right and block the other lane after the “point of no return,” where trying to cut in would be a serious dick move.

the even worse offender is the angry moron in a truck-nutted Chevy Avalanche riding my ass or slamming on the brakes in order to vigilante this from happening.

Once I’ve seen the signs that say the lane is ending, I usually try to move over quite early. Then I’ll tend to let one or two people in front of me who are doing the same. But that’s it. You think you’re now going to come from behind... pass me... and I’m going to leave a hole? Nope. Uh uh. If that makes me a

As Virginia is often wont to do I have seen State Troopers who patrol the impending lane closure pulling those over who try to sneak in at the point of no return. Just outside of Virginia Beach I saw 3 cars pulled for this offense. I applaud the truckers who lane straddle to keep those drivers in check. I will always

You are mistaken about what the term “zipper merger” means. It does NOT mean letting an ass fly past stopped traffic to merge in at the last second. That is the exact conduct it is trying to alleviate. The zipper merge is just allowing people to move into your lane at a proper time to minimize reductions in speed.

Only to stop you assholes who fly up from 2 miles back to squeeze into the space we left so we can stop without hitting you.

There’s always a “that guy”.

It’s not going to happen.

Kill hype and expectations, wait 10 yrs, surprise with a new book, everyone buys, profit.

She’s done until she needs (or feels she needs) more cash and/or more adulation.

Is anyone else impressed that in the pictures the vast majority of those holding weapons are doing a great job of keeping their fingers off of the triggers?

Counterpoint: she looks great. Not everything needs to bow to the whims of the constantly outraged.

Wow... Whatare you looking at? This generation of the Civic is the ugliest ever. It’s the ugliest Honda.
