I went this route for Christmas this year, finding a very nice guitar in a pawn shop for less than $100. She loves it, is just learning, but knows that it sounds great and will last.

This is exactly what she needs. And I need. Oh how I need this....
My wife and I do this for our kids. It really helps to keep things under control, not buying too many junk toys, and keeping the budget happy too.
Definitely a lot of puns like that back when I had mine in high school.
I only by the best of luck avoided the same fate. I couldn’t afford new tires right away (since I needed to replace the front axles which broke on day 1) and wore all four tires down to the steel belting. My brother took the car up to 120 mph on a straight highway in Idaho on those and I was sure we were going to die.
Still miss mine. Second car (after demonstrating good driving skills in my grandparents’ hand-me-down Buick), first car that was all mine with a manual. So sporty, great off the line, comfortable all around. I drove it everywhere and always volunteered to drive. It was better than anything any of my friends had…
Count me in. I am a 32yo that chose and dd’s a Lucerne. Big, comfortable, powerful, fits all my kids, stylish and sporty looking. Not my first Buick and (although I am planning on keeping this one for a long time) won’t be my last.
Big Nope. I love my Buick and its emblem is just fine as it is.

I voted Republican for the national races and governor on my ticket, and split between parties for…
I...I am totally on board with this.
Good effort, fun joke. I’ve been refreshing the page to see who else will add their jokes...but I’ve got nothing.
Bravo. Good comment is good.
A convertible Mercedes 450 SL is exactly my mom’s dreamcar. One day, I hope to be able to give one to here in exactly this manner. All the better if it happens sooner than later though, to give her some time to enjoy it. I don’t even car if it’s a copycat thing, she told all her sons this is what she wanted years ago.
My thought for “fist shop” was fish shop...because Minnesota, why not?
You know nothing, Amazon release dates! -FTFY
well, I for one have never seen those two in the same room together...we can never be sure they are different people.
Good kinja.
This story takes place in early 2007, at the height of a lot of shady banking practices. I helped out a friend who had no financial knowledge and very little self control. He was broke, but needed to live and get his money together, so another friend and I sat down with him to pour over all his finances. We went…
