I think I've owed money in the past - I think last year, even, since that may have been what made me pay estimated taxes this year.
Honestly, I think it just reinforces that Federal government works far better than state governments.

This is the primary reason why the zero tolerance approach is completely useless.
Only the Federal part of the return has come back, and I submitted this past Saturday.
I hope you've been listening to the Stax catalog.
TAX REFUND PLANS THREAD
I'm a big fan of obscure horror stuff. While I talk about a lot of it to my wife, I don't think I've met anyone with a broad base of knowledge. I mean, my boss is a bit knowledgeable, but her favorite is the Saw movies, so… you know.
I got a pizza in Mystic, CT that was a buffalo chicken pizza.
It had tiny bits of cubed chicken with buffalo sauce. That was good.
But they replaced the sauce on the pizza with buffalo sauce.
So it was edible for a slice or two.
I've had local pizzas in Boston area, New Jersey (both northern, central, and south) and NY pizza… plus Charlottesville and Ann Arbor area…
As much as I like Secretary, and don't care for this artwork, I think it's actually a good idea.
It shows a much healthier approach to these sorts of relationships, and it has characters that grow to accept their predilections. As long as it gives Secretary a larger audience, even if by a bit of deception, it's…
I can't imagine this doing well commercially, but I think it would easily fit into the same category as Bowfinger and Ed Wood - stuff that people who really are into filmmaking would love and return to over and over.
For some reason, my mom used to believe in voting for one party one time, the other party the next time, and assumed that this would keep things nicely balanced.
Of course, at least now she seems to understand that trying to be nice to both parties isn't really a viable approach.
In that sense, she's sort of like Marge…
Personally, I didn't think too much of the pilot. I liked it, but I wasn't especially excited by it. It was a decent entry point for people who didn't know much about the comic.
I cheated in my social studies class throughout… 4th or 5th grade.
The entire year was devoted to memorizing countries and capitals, plus all of the US states and capitals, plus Canada's provinces and capitals.
Weekly tests.
I find these sorts of things interesting. As long as they follow the same basic rule, and doesn't keep changing, my brain adjusts to feel like it sounds pretty normal.
I use Garageband. I've stuck with version 6, since the interface change in 10 made it nearly impossible to dig into software instruments the way I like.
I've tried using Logic, but I didn't care for it.
The only wall I've run into with GB is that there's a file size limit of 2G. Once I hit that wall, I usually can…
Well, to be fair, my mom lives about two blocks from her, and she wasn't at the ceremony.
My sister in North Carolina unexpectedly got married last Friday.
I found out about it the next day, by luck, since I decided to call my mom.
I have taken preliminary steps in working on my dance/party anthem song. I found some chords that I like.
I'm having my wife do some computer analysis of the lyrics to about 100 party songs from the last couple years, which will give me some phrases to start from.
Then I'm working on figuring out how to mix drum parts…
I don't think there's anything that really helps escape. My wife has been getting a bit more concerned about making sure we have some basic supplies in the event of a nuclear event.
So we might be buying a giant water barrel.
I encourage you to enjoy Wesley Willis's cover of Girls on Film.
