Oh, I am loving this one! Thanks Tavarish! How about 12 cylinders for the price of a new 4....er, not even....maybe a 3 cylinder engine'd new car even? Normally I would go for an AMG, but only 60,000 miles and less than 15 grand, nay, 13 grand, for an S600!? Whats not to like!?

Alright, I'm breaking the rules. It's on Autotrader, not eBay, and it's $900 over budget, so sue me. But hear me out, because this 1977 W116 450SEL 6.9 is everything a Mercedes should be. Big, safe, fast, high tech, luxurious, understated, cooler than hell, and black. You can't not look awesome . My god this car is

pulling, its not like towing.

You do realize that the 305 hp low riding 6 speed Colorado with a body kit is only .3 seconds faster to 60mph than a lifted TRD Pro Tacoma with huge wheels and old drivetrain, right? the difference here is a decade. 10 years and this underpowered lifted truck you bash is a fraction of a second slower than a modern

What do I want to see on the new truck? I would like to see Toyota not compromise the ideals of durability, simplicity and visibility to chase after bigger numbers, more "style" and improbably big MPGS. I know latest/greatest is normally the name of the game, but Incremental improvements built on solid foundations

I don't get it. The tC is a really solid car. I hate FWD appliances but the moment that car came out I thought "damn, that's a really solid deal." Slick body, 160hp, fairly light, sporty suspension, lots of cargo room (I hauled a full-length couch in my fiancee's tC, sticking out quite a bit), nearly full-length glass

Then perhaps it has too few cylinders.

See now THIS is how you handle a recall. You catch it early enough before it costs people lives and money.

Toyotas and Hondas are downright sexy compared to this taxi cab.

Rod, is that you?

For $21k, you could be driving a Forester, which is a better car in almost every conceivable way.

I'm not sure I see the value proposition. This thing stickers at over 20k base; with AWD, you're pushing 22. A base Impreza stickers right around 19k with a (very nice) AWD system already included, and a fair amount of equipment for the base version. OK, so you want the 1.5" lift - great, get the XV, and you're still

They have never made this, that is why you don't see them

Solstice GXP coupe, less than 1300 total coupes produced and who knows how many were GXPs.

I really have a hard time believing that any modern car will make it 100 years into the future. But if any has a chance its a land cruiser.

It's a Cummins, it will run until the end of earth. And then a bit longer.

Well, it's a car meant to save the world. Which it doesn't.

I fail to see how the Prius is not on this list...it's the only car that elicits impromptu lectures to total strangers from its owners....

Might want to use a picture of a Hummer at the mall instead of, you know, in the dirt where it really excels as an off road vehicle. Easier to support your argument that way.
