But they were actually good for something though...

As cheap as they were, it might be how they made money off of it.

The best thing for Cadillac’s image would be removing any part that associates it with GM, and that includes the GMT400 gauges in all of the ATSs and some of the CTSs.

My Dad got a 2014 Impala Limited as a rental (the old w-body on life support), and even with the 3.6 he said it made the Camry 4-cylinder feel like a sports car.

But aren’t the engines pretty reliable to begin with, at least the 6’s? It’s the electricals that are bad.

I don’t mind, less to go wrong.

It will also be worth a chunk more 5 years down the road.

Wrong, Crew Cab:

Not the same Duramax, plus EFI Live has been less out there on the newer trucks due to stricter govt. rulings.

That’s what gets me. GM can have killer cars, they can burn down to the ground if you run the AC for too long, they can leave the factory and sell without brakes, etc., but they just get a slap on the wrist.

But then you run into issues like “All Girls Garage” which is so forced that it is painful to watch.

GM fan I see. Have fun with those recalls and self immolating vehicles.

So American Pickers with more cars and motion?

It sounds amazing, and that’s how they really sound opened up. I had a friend with a V10 Excursion, and it sounded insane.

My 20 year old 4Runner’s heater made me break a sweat while it was -20 outside, so they are like GM’s fires, without the danger.

My 20 year old 4Runner runs it’s fans at full speed just fine, so no I don’t think that is thinking out of line.

Since it probably weighs literally a ton less (they weigh a hair under 3900lbs), even with an idiot driving it has a lot better chance of not getting stuck.

And it is the biggest in the “otherwise bloated” class.
