What I'm saying, is if you had enough clearance to clear yout bumpers over the water, there isn't enough surface area below that(unless you have a massive fucking body lift) to move the car.
My personal favorite still, is the Toyota tailgate, that used to be on 4Runners.
They need doors like the Excursion had. They had barn doors..... AND a tailgate.
It kind of depends on a lot of factors. Do you know the depth for sure? Have you driven through water before? Do you have enough ground clearance to not give the water much resistance? If the answer to any of these is no, don't do it.
As long as you knew your path, this wouldn't be that hard to cross.
They all are Sports Utility Vehicles. A LC is for sport and utility, and it is also a vehicle. But on the Suburban's, if you need the space it comes down to that, a crossover or a van. Why not choose the one that can actually haul if you ever need it?

Having driven across Ohio to get to Pennsylvania from Alabama, across Pennsylvania to Ohio isn't that bad. And compared to driving from Pennsylvania to Florida overnight, Alabama to Pennsylvania isn't that bad. All of those trips in this, the farthest thing to a highway cruiser:
