That's painful to read, yet alone endure as an episode of television. Ugh.

Was this show really that bad?

Well, that was adorable.

'Bi curous teens' a.k.a. 'Creepy old Hollywood dudes put teenage characters in sexy situations under the flimiest of pretexts - but it's okay: we got adult actors!' (See also: Teen Wolf)

Well, it'd be intresting to see how they strech out the murder mystery over thirteen episodes, I suppose, although is it one series only or branching out to multiple seasons?

For me, what I found very 'eww' was the whole 'alien being takes on the form of a loved one and they sex and doesn't get it due to being alien and produce child' trope.

My Mum urges me to watch this show all the time and I usually like period dramas, but reading up on Justin Fellowes and his attiudes has put me off more then quite a bit. I've heard it does spiral downwards somewhat after the first two seasons or so.

Is the Australian cut different to the US one? Because, early on, it's more or less said: it's supernatural shennigans in the Australian version.

Eh, I disagree. I thought Boogey, although not really original, was unnerving as hell and they handled his presence in the 'real world' really well and the idea of someone taking and tainting your child, tapping into parent's fears of raising their children and desperatly trying not to screw them up was really

I actually enjoyed it, but it really pushed it with the gore which didn't feel anywhere near dramatically earnt.

NOT MY CHILDHOOD, BAY. I was never a fan of the original Transformers series (oh, the breach was wide between my older brother who was eight years older then me - so wide), but Beast Wars is a treasured childhood memory. Well, that and friends of course :)

Well, given that the series is currently reairing, intrest has sparked up again and seems like an ideal time to discuss it again.

Honestly, I think it's funny and just a tease out to the real answer. I'm sure the original poster appreciates the joke :)

Can't argue with that :)

Can't argue with that :)

Eh, Thin Ice the Big Finish production didn't really live up to it, in my opinion and apparently that was the story planned.

Or they could be challenging their audience to be smarter then their prepped up to be.

Huh, I'd heard of this show from reputation it really was nothing but a bunch of sweaty balls and dicks - something I am predisposed to I admit, but not in a drama. Intresting :)

Ugh, James Patterson - my brother in law loves his work and gave me one of his books to read and it was terrible. Nasty, nasty violence without any dramitic weight behind it, as a very white, very Australian, I'm hardly in a position to vouch on the authenticity of the voice of a character who is African American, but

Out of Brian K Vaughen's body of work, I've only read Runaways (which I read last summer) which made Under The Dome all that more disappointing for me upon reflection - if Vaughen could create a bunch of six well-drawn teenagers in his own series, why couldn't he have worked his magic in Under The Dome?
