I’ve actually got a bunch of games and emulators loaded on my nexus player - I just need to get a decent Bluetooth snes style controller.

How old did you start with your kids, and which systems? My daughter is two and has a ‘ookie montar’ (cookie monster) game she plays on my phone, but I’m afraid that’s opened a pandora’s box. I want to get a controller in her hands before it’s too late!

This review actually makes me want to buy a switch. I just wish nintendo would price their games more sensibly... Average Nintendo games are 90$ her in Canada, and they Never go on sale.

Absolutely. I’ve never really been able to get into the sequel, partly because of the art style.

Yeah, I kind of wonder why that is... Maybe Tolkien didn’t feel comfortable writing about something he didn’t know much about or couldn’t relate to? When you compare it against other works like lewis’ Narnia series the lack of women in the ring saga is striking.

Your lights won’t change in response to what’s being played on the screen though. I’ve been looking into this tech for a while, and diy setups are not easy or cheap, as you generally need an external processor to get the effect. Bias lighting is one thing (and cheap, like you said), but this is not just bias lighting.…
