I'm not sure about where you're from, but here in Australia, we pronounce 'new' as 'nyoo', and 'μ' as 'myoo', so it does rhyme, at least to me.

Comic Sans' problem is that it's being used in cases it wasn't designed for. For instances where you want to imply casualness or levity, comic sans is fine. For anything else, there is a better typeface/font for the job.
