Same here :(
Wow, GM bringing back the nameplate associated with one of the most ugliest SUVs of the early 21st century.
So the support car broke down, but the $600 Jeep is still running. That’s awesome. Good and inspiring work there, as well as another reason why not to buy a Caliber.
All diesels have always been fuel injected because carburetion does not provide the precise timing of fuel that a diesel needs (they used to use mechanical injection regulated by an injection pump).
Older diesels were indirect injection, where the injector sprays the fuel into a prechamber in the cylinder head. The fuel is ignited there and then forms a flame front that pushes the piston down. Modern diesels are direct-injected, requiring higher injection pressures but resulting in a more efficient motor.
I can just come pick them up now to get them out of your way...
Every 5-digit I’ve seen has been from the eighties or before... I didn’t know that anyone still used them in the nineties, although I’m more familiar with imports than domestics.
It’s a 6-digit. 5-digits have been out for a long time...
If Mountain Dew is people, I have lost my faith in humanity.
If you read the article Raph links to, it’s pretty clearly not the attitude the church has taken... it’s just how Raph phrased it.
Agreed, what an absolute jerk. In fact, all old people are jerks — they should just be forced to store all of their possessions in black garbage bags once they pass 80 years old so that cleanup is easier when they expire.
Forces them to deal with it or gifts it to them? I guess both are technically accurate, but it seems to me that he is trying to help them rather than take advantage of them.
Awesome! Sorry for all the confusion... :).
I understand that. I understand that.
I know, and he’s wrong. If you run the price from any particular year through an inflation calculator for that year, you will find a range of ~$47k for a 240D to ~$70k-75k for a 280E/300D Turbo. $90k is firmly in entry-level S-class territory.
That funny, I wonder if that was a PO’s badge engineering... I’ve never seen/head of that personally and I’ve seen a lot of these cars both in person and online. Here is the badging I have always seen:
Right. And that’s why I’m taking issue with saying that $90k is an inflation-adjusted price for the W123. It’s not. That’s crazy talk. The inflation-adjusted price has not changed a huge amount between now and then.
Truly, you are the king of slow. Is the 0-60 on that over half a minute?
Yeah, which is why taking a price from 1980 and calculating it with a 1977 inflation calculator would yield a higher price.
