I think last seasons serialisation worked better because it wasn't as hamstrung by all these overarching plot threads - individual episodes could mostly stand alone whilst being interconnected by just a few important plot threads and recurring themes and characters.

I agree with you Brandon, not all the big moments or character development was earned or laid out enough in this episode and that's because the season at large has been too rushed and condensed for the material it is trying to cover. The patient, gradual yet satisfying build-up and pay-off of previous seasons has been

It's called living in a country where there is not literal war in the streets. For all those people living in a country that is at peace internally at least, war is an abstract horror and one of the very purposes of art is to give us even just a resemblance of a window into realities beyond our own. Art is our way to

Boy that's a lot of comments, hardly seems worth it to be honest but whatevs, here's my two cents.

I didn't agree with the cut-away from Stannis' death either, though for different reasons. As for the peeling of the waifs face, yeah no, we didn't need to see that in all its gory detail thank you - the implication is enough. We've seen Arya and Brienne kill plenty of people brutally on-screen - that guy who stole

"He might have finally, completely cornered Cersei. Unfortunately for him." Aye, and the High Sparrow will learn, that when you corner a Lion, you should expect to get clawed.

Yeah, this episode wasn't all that unfortunately. Probably my least favourite of the season so far. Arya's storyline was much as the reviewer described it - muddled as usual, even though I liked how she snuffed out the light to snuff out the waif, utilising her blindness experience and syrio forel training in one.

No, sorry guys, Theon and Yara were clearly at Volantis which is nowhere near Braavos.

Yeah it's hard to buy Margery's sudden conversion. I don't doubt the High Sparrow's piousness had some effect on her - after all, it's what made Cersei underestimate him when she essentially rose him up to power - but nor do I think she's become a fully-fledged true believer either. She's still playing the game I'm

The only character we're really missing is Bron - where is everyone's favourite debonair scoundrel?

That's a great theory. After all, you don't cut away from a scene like that and keep us guessing unless it was significant information, and having it simply be Margarey's walk of atonement seems a bit weird when that comes up immediately in the next scene - such a public display would surely be well-known news, not a

I tend to agree with your overall sentiment that things are moving faster than usual and losing some of their dramatic weight and unpredictability as well. The Dorne storyline is a prime example of this of course but I'll address your example specifically. I could see Ramsay killing Roose a mile off as soon he went in

"ODST forces you to do things you’ve never done before in a Halo game. You run away. You hide." You do plenty of running away and hiding on legendary solo in the earlier games, let me tell you that. More so with skulls.

I've never read the books so I didn't know about that particular distinction nor had it crossed my mind to question why killing white walkers was such a big deal when all you need is a bit of fire - now I know it doesn't work on the big bad ones, thanks!

Yeah, I still giggle whenever I discover a new English word thats been
adopted into Japanese that sounds particularly amusing - 'Moutaa
Scootaa' - モータースクーター is a recent favourite of mine.

Actually, the whole 'Buraku Furiday Bunduru' pronunciation shouldn't seem as offensive to you as it was because the Japanese language often takes English words, like Computer, Laptop, Taxi and in this case, Bundle, and adapts them into the Japanese phonetic script (along with plenty of other languages words too).
