You were on the pre-attack.

good

What has risen may sink, and what has sunk may rise. Loathsomeness waits and dreams in the deep, and decay spreads over the tottering cities of men.

This is hilarious. so much more light hearted than actual berserk. with a more upbeat ending too.

If you ever get the chance, see out the “Cults Across America” boardgame. its a riot, its like Lovecraft Risk.

I’ve been a fan of Berserk for something like 17 years, but never really go to reddit so didn’t know that either group existed. Fascinating.

Ahh this takes me back. This was was the first computer game I ever bought, after my family bought its first Tandy. I think I even have the cloth map somewhere. That cover art did wonders for my imagination, I think I even reproduced it for frosh year art class.

Though I found that I actually enjoyed the gold box SSI

Miura is still working on his. It’ll be ready in a few years.

I remember one funny interview where they band claimed they didn’t learn to play music, but one day they were abducted by aliens, and when they were returned, they could all play. lmao

Well, its sorta nice being on the popular opinion side for once, after TFA especially. Ever since I saw those PV’s I’ve been tempering my expectations at least on the art/animation side.. As a longtime fan, I can only hope it improves.

The anime fan blog will be trying to write up each episode, this was my attempt.

This series is not a really good place to start. Really honestly try to start with the 1997 anime series. I did a little spoiler free write up in this anime guide we did on the user blog (its like 2/3rds the way down):

If possible the original series, maybe save the 1st episode to watch last. If getting your eyes on that series is impossible, you can watch the trilogy of movies instead. Ideally the original first and then the last bit of the movies, which includes a scene excluded from the 1997 anime.

I think Berserk was released as a Seinen, (alongside stuff like Parasyte). Even the Japanese would have a hard time with marketing that sort of content to younger boys as shonen.

Ah this seems nice.

needs a hamster outfit.

I like the Cheero brand. Japanese parts (battery units and capacitors) mean I trust it more. They have some interesting designs too.

Ah Totorro, after all these years the best Ghibli film for young children, especially with siblings.

Aww dude, not the rock candies.... oh god the ending of that movie, I’m having flashbacks....

amen.
