This might be a nice little studio rig, but is worthless in the places where one actually USES a tripod: uneven ground outdoors. Not saying I wouldn’t use it for a cheap(ish) studio option but definitely not a replacement for the real thing.

The sled is 1kg, and can operate up to 15m/s. There may be some issues with the fact that is is on rails, keeping it moving in one direction instead of deflecting.
