Yes!!!! She came from a ford family and drove a fusion. It was a few years old and time to trade in. She looked at EVERYTHING Crossover. I showed her a v60 xc. She didn’t like it. So on to the Subaru dealer for a look at the outback. This was the 10th vehicle we looked at. She got the dog she wanted I got the Outback

Has anyone had any experience/success with talking your wife out of leasing a small SUV and instead leasing a sweet looking long roof?

The brand has not the best reputation, but the Abarth 500 is the most solid of them all. Friends say it is their most reliable vehicle.

My 500 was the most reliable car I've ever had

So are hands, Andrew.

To me, reliable means starting every time and taking you where you need to go. Burning oil and check engine lights and such don’t make a car unreliable. (This is the argument that has carried me through VW, Land Rover, Subaru, and Dodge ownership)

Welcome back, Andrew!

Bicycles are also mid-engined

The small diesels aren’t as good as they seem - the standards aren’t “get 54.5 MPG fleet average”, they’re “emit fleet average CO2 equivalent to a gasoline car getting 54.5 MPG on the 1978 test cycle”. (This is much more lax than the current cycle, FWIW.)

Who needs electric starters, air conditioning, crash safety and the like?

Kind note: just because your opinion works for your particular ideologies, that doesn’t mean it applies to the other 325 million people that live in America.

NOT DUMB BRO

Lifted my Golf TDI 4" to fit all terrain tires. It’s so dumb it’s wonderful, I have no regrets.

Yes! MAGA!!! ’Merican steel and craftsmanship!!! Fuck yeah!!!

Passing acceleration is a great metric. Tying it to a specific gear makes it horrible.

Seriously, who does that to a car and tries to sell it with a straight face? This has to be a prank.

Not a frickin’ chance.

I totally agree, and I am not helping things either. I don’t buy new. It is bad money sense IMO. I wait for depreciation to set in, and buy a few years old. I am grateful for those who order a manual from new and have the funds to do so.

A C7 from 2006?  Verrry interesting...
