Just because she happens to be a good character doesn't mean it's okay that the only image you can get of her for your child is the most sexualized possible image of her that exists within any of the films. Seriously, defend Leia, Leia is amazing. But don't defend selling the sex slave image of her to little girls.

I think the problem she's expressing here is that Leia in a golden bikini, chained to Jabba, was the ONLY option. Leia is the lone female character in Star Wars minus a few ancillary characters like the female commander who was in that one scene that one time. For a young girl who wants to identify with a character

I bought it from steam last week, I'm liking it so far; the gameplay boils down clicking about a Facebook-esque interface, but the goals are to accomplish short term goals such as "start a relationship with bob" or "master teleportation cleanup duty" (you also have to manage your various duties on the starship).

its a common thought from westernized people pampered in life to believe that they could escape conditions like that, where being poor in america still means you can have a iphone and a car, aircon refrigerator etc etc.. People in western countries have no idea how most of the world lives.

I'm not going to lambast you @Ylgytugd but just want to give you some perspective from someone who has been living near the Walled City throughout their whole life. My family migrated to HK in the 40's and they settled near the Walled City because it was cheap. Sure, part of the reason as to why it was cheap was

Thinly veiled elitism with an attempt to not get called out on it by using the phrase "I'm just saying".

It really isn't. These aren't even efficient uses of resources. The only reason they existed was due to a mixture of war, massive population suddenly arriving, (Not a slow and steady growth rate,) and extreme limitations on space. In the US you have thousands of square miles just ready to be expanded into.

I don't think his work is perfect (I played Heavy Rain and loved parts, disliked the way it ended) but I just want to illustrate why I think this type of thinking is problematic.

I haven't read The Stand, but is it possible that, in the 35 years since he published that book, his views on the world have changed and that he is a different person now than he was then? It's part of his body of work, so it's fair to note it, but the context is important- he wrote it half a lifetime ago.

Halfway through that labyrinth of an opening sentence, I knew it could only be Doug.

They've made one HD remake. How is that equal a strategy to you?

"Just because it's HD."

Have you tried playing Gamecube era games on a modern TV? It's damn near impossible. Your options are basically use a CRT, or use an emulator, and since those aren't terribly appealing options for the bulk of the populace, there's an HD remake. Don't be such a prissy twat.

I am so sorry that the constant discrimination, threats, and sexual harassment of people that are not you makes you annoyed and bored. Next time, maybe people with problems could talk about it on a website that isn't one you were forced at gunpoint to read. Ah well. Tell me again about how stressful it is to read

Your joke post was so great! Really, thank you for that. "Blacks are paid the same and face no more discrimination ever! No one wants to rape you, that never happens to women ever!"

I don't work in games, but I used to work in IT, in an office building with mostly doctors' offices.

There's a lot of inherent naïvety in this response, most of all punctuated by the misguided libertarian/conservative mindset that anybody can make it just as long as they pull themselves up their bootstraps and really strive to be exceptional- and really let down by the refusal to acknowledge that people are treated

Setttle down. It's natural a man would take offense since they feel that it implies they're unable to hold their booze without getting all rapey. A smart woman would anticipate a drunken co-worker blocking her path while making uninvited sexual comments COULD lead to a situation were they must become aggressive to

Even as a joke this is offensive. Maybe post pictures of the dead, as opposed to you know, a tongue in cheek article about how this devil (persumably) wears prada.. ugh

Sorry, I simply couldn't resist.
