You say you're "more porn-friendly than most" and then go on to complain about the sex and plot aspect of Game of Thrones.

THE COMMON COLD DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY!
The best robot is the one you built yourself.
Russia is not part of the EU. There's currently 28 member states in the EU: several of them were members of the Warsaw Pact, and three of them (Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia) were part of the USSR. But Russia is not in the EU and ... it's going to take a while before Russia and the EU agree on many things.
The EU study essentially agrees with my previous statement, is almost 1o years old and frankly optimistic, the rest is ideologically motivated spin (The daily mail? Lomborg? Please.).
But it's not as simple as not subsidizing anything.
Sorry but, I think this is false comparison. I would love it they could reverse this whole problem overnight. But let's be realistic here. This problem was many, many decades in the making and requires massive infrastructural and social changes the whole world round.
Where the hell do you get off suggesting that short term fiscal gains aren't the penultimate goal of every human endeavour? The ultimate goal of course being to spend that sweet cash.
Not seeing a problem here. They have just decided to prioritise the future of their children over short term savings in living costs.
Yep, we should definitely do absolutely nothing to help the environment unless it 100% solves the problem in a single day!
Nope to the first one, but I do enjoy plenty of time in the outdoors where I am perfectly happy not hunting anything.
You had me for a while, but I think RobW has a point with hunting vs. farming. The fact is, modern practices for farming food animals are awful, and it's hard to justify them simply by saying "people need to eat." People could be fed through more humane means than over-crowded factory farms — but that would cost more,…
Your distinctions make little sense. Hunting is clearly the MOST ethical way to obtain meat - the one that causes least suffering to the animal before they die. What standard are you using to judge ethical meat consumption, if not the amount of suffering?
Oh, I hate Excel, I should add it's also not part of my job. Sadly the girl whose job it was quit and the new guy is taking over her job and a managerial position. So being the only employee who actually talks to him and is nice to him, he asked if I'd be kind enough to help him get things under control in addition to…
Either side can end this today.
I've been perched over the toilet bowl going Galt for about forty minutes now.
It's alright, the free market will decide how much of what potentially lethal bacteria consumers are willing to have in their food.
I'll wait and see how it looks onscreen, as the dwarves (mostly) turned out alright, despite the crummy promotional images. But this really doesn't look much like the Beorn from the book. It seems to me that Peter Jackson is far too concerned with making every character look unique, resulting in a rather overdesigned…
Nope, just a poor grad student looking for a PhD opportunity.
Lepidopterist here! These guys - particularly the Eupithecia spp. - are a very cool aspect of island biogeography for several reasons. The family they belong to - Geometridae - are already pretty weak fliers as far as moths go, so it would have been an extraordinary story to discover how they made it out to the…
